上堂：「今朝六月十五，祝聖陞堂擊鼓，木童火裏吹笙，石女雲中作舞。也大奇，也大奇，天無四壁，地絕八維，五湖四海來入貢，衲僧聞見眼如眉。」喝一喝，下座。

Ascending the hall: "Today is the fifteenth of the sixth month; celebrating the imperial birthday, I ascend the hall and beat the drum. A wooden boy blows the reed pipe in the fire; a stone woman dances amid the clouds. Truly wondrous, truly wondrous! Heaven has no four walls, and earth is devoid of eight dimensions. Tributaries arrive from the five lakes and four seas; when patch-robed monks hear and see it, their eyes are like eyebrows." Giving a shout, he descended from the seat.
