上堂，主丈子：「尋常口吧吧地道：我能縱能奪、能殺能活。及問他遠法師因甚不過虎溪？便道不得。且道，病在那裡？」

Ascending the hall, [holding up] his staff: "Usually your mouths chatter away, saying: 'I can release and capture, kill and give life.' Yet when asked why Master Yuan did not cross Tiger Creek, you cannot speak. Tell me, where does the illness lie?"
