結夏小參，卓主丈：「不必善財歛念、彌勒彈指，普請四聖六凡，入此大光明藏，互為主伴，快說禪病，使瞽者明、聾者聽，迷者悟、縛者脫。於是九十之期，各證本法，然後升雙檮堂，入息畊室，向無星等子上，較其重輕，以憑勞賞。會麼？」卓主丈：「力㘞唏，咄咄咄！」

At the informal gathering for entering the summer retreat, [the Master] struck with the staff: "There is no need for Sudhana to collect his thoughts or Maitreya to snap his fingers. I universally invite the four kinds of sages and six kinds of ordinary beings to enter this storehouse of great radiant light, mutually serving as host and companion, freely speaking of the diseases of Chan, causing the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the deluded to awaken, and the bound to be emancipated. Thereupon, during the ninety-day period, each verifies their fundamental Dharma. Afterwards, ascending to the Shuangchou Hall and entering the Xigeng room, they will weigh light and heavy on a steelyard without dots, to determine rewards for their labor. Do you understand?" He struck with the staff: "Lihwah-xi, tut tut tut!"
