復舉：「天平漪和尚行脚時，參西院每云：『莫道會佛法，覓箇舉話底也無？』一日西院召云：『從漪。』平舉頭，院云：『錯。』平行三兩步，院又云：『錯。』平近前，院云：『適來者兩錯，是西院錯，上座錯。』平云：『是從漪錯。』院云：『錯。』平休去，院云：『且在者裏過夏，待共上座商量者兩錯。』平當時起去。後住院，謂眾云：『我當初行脚時，被風吹過思明長老處，被他連下兩錯，更留我過夏商量，我不道那時錯，發足南方時，早錯了也。』」師云：「慢藏誨盜，冶容誨婬，雙林今夏還有商量者兩錯底麼？」

He also cited: "When Upādhyāya Tianping Congyi was on itinerant pilgrimage, he visited Xiyuan and would often say, 'Do not say you understand the Buddhadharma; is there anyone who can even bring up a topic of conversation?' One day Xiyuan called out, 'Congyi!' Ping raised his head. Xiyuan said, 'Wrong!' Ping took two or three steps; Xiyuan said again, 'Wrong!' Ping approached him, and Xiyuan said, 'As for these two "wrongs" just now, was Xiyuan wrong, or was the elder wrong?' Ping said, 'Congyi was wrong.' Xiyuan said, 'Wrong!' Ping stopped. Xiyuan said, 'Stay here for the summer retreat for a while, and wait until we can investigate these two "wrongs" together.' Ping immediately got up and left. Later, when he presided at a monastery, he addressed the assembly, saying, 'In the past when I was on itinerant pilgrimage, I was blown by the wind to Senior Monk Siming's place. He struck me with two "wrongs" in succession and further detained me to pass the summer to investigate them. I do not say I was wrong at that time; when I set foot toward the south, I was already wrong.'" The Master said, "Negligence in storing away valuables invites robbery; a seductive appearance invites lust. This summer at Shuanglin, is there anyone who will investigate these two 'wrongs'?"
