上堂：「無中取有，短處求長，是爾衲僧，針孔線蹊邊事。爾若不受人謾，縱一機則須彌岌嶪，奪一境則海水騰波，直饒縱奪可觀，猶是諸方撥牌交割底。徑山久默斯要，不敢預聞。」

Ascending the hall: "Taking being from non-being, seeking length in shortness—these are affairs within the needle hole and thread track of you patch-robed monks. If you are not deceived by others, then letting dynamic potential go, Mount Sumeru shakes and totters; snatching the realm away, ocean waters surge in waves. Even if letting go and snatching away are magnificent, they are still what various quarters hand over on clearance tallies. Jingshan has long been silent on this essential, not daring to meddle in it."
