開啟乾龍節。上堂云。好諸禪德。錦雲迎日。玉殿傳春。祥光現尊貴之家。瑞應兆誕生之事。萬椉七寶。親曾父子相承。九重一人。還與弟兄和合。諸人還委悉麼。良久云。洪蕩溫風布炎德。熙和韶日洗寒姿。

On the opening of the Qianlong Festival, ascending the hall, he said: "Noble Chan worthies! Brocade clouds welcome the sun; the jade palace announces spring. Auspicious light appears in an exalted household; fortunate omens portend the birth. The ten thousand chariots and seven treasures have directly been inherited between father and son; the One Man within the ninefold palace is in harmony with his brothers. Do all of you understand?" After a good while, he said: "The vast and warm breeze spreads fiery virtue; the peaceful and radiant sun washes away the cold demeanor."
