天寧節上堂云。乾坤同壽。無以窮其歲年。物我同心。無以分其中外。以法為界。則無方維。以智為身。則無向背。諸禪德。且道。箇人作麼生行履。還會麼。國付一人敷舜化。恩臨四海戴堯仁。

On the Tianning Festival, [the Master] ascended the hall and said: "Sharing the lifespan of heaven and earth, its years cannot be exhausted. Sharing one mind with all beings, inside and outside cannot be divided. Taking Dharma as the realm, there are no directional boundaries; taking wisdom as the body, there is neither facing toward nor turning away. Venerable Chan monks, tell me, how does this person walk? Do you understand? The state is entrusted to the One Man to diffuse the transformation of Shun; grace reaches the four seas to revere the benevolence of Yao."
