上堂云。朔風作寒色。愛口流恩光。處處相逢遇。明明不覆藏。山河無隔越。草木盡敷揚。剎說眾生說。毘盧舌廣長。諸禪德。盡十方世界。山河大地。草木叢林。祇是毘盧遮那一箇舌頭。諸人還聞麼。若向這裡聞得。猶是建化門頭事。且道不落化門。一句作麼生道。良久云。轉身就父無標的。拈却花冠不得名。

Ascending the hall, he said: "The northern wind creates a wintry hue; the beloved mouth streams forth gracious light. Everywhere meeting and encountering, clearly not concealed. Mountains and rivers have no separation; grasses and trees all proclaim it. Lands preach, sentient beings preach; Vairocana's tongue is broad and long. Chan worthies! The worlds of the ten directions, the mountains, rivers, the great earth, grasses, trees, and monastic groves are merely a single tongue of Vairocana. Do you all hear it? If you hear it here, it is still an affair within the gate of teaching and transformation. Tell me, without falling into the gate of transformation, how do you say a phrase?" After a long pause, he said: "Turning the body to approach the father, there is no target; taking off the flower crown, no name can be obtained."
