上堂云。十五日已前。有口說不得。十五日已後。無心却自然。正當十五日。一句作麼生道。良久云。雲籠無縫襖。花笑不萠枝。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Before the fifteenth day, having a mouth one cannot speak. After the fifteenth day, being without mind, it is naturally so. Right on the fifteenth day, how do you say a phrase?" After a long pause, he said: "Clouds envelop the seamless robe; flowers smile on the branch that does not sprout."
