上堂云。同中有異。功亡就位。異中有同。在位借功。一步密移玄路轉。全身放下劫壺空。隱隱密密。玲玲瓏瓏。記取深雲須變豹。自然死水不藏龍。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "Within sameness there is difference: when function is extinguished, one attains the position. Within difference there is sameness: abiding in the position, one borrows function. With one step secretly shifted, the mysterious road turns; letting go of the whole body, the pot of the kalpa is empty. Hidden and secret, translucent and luminous. Remember that deep in the clouds, one must transform into a leopard; naturally, dead water does not harbor dragons."
