上堂云。來雁遷鶯盡作觀音佛事。野花芳草全彰妙德家風。了得底人。直是騎聲跨色。越見超聞。始與他合。且道。普賢行履。又作麼生。動容揚古路。不墮悄然機。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Incoming wild geese and shifting orioles all perform Avalokiteśvara's Buddha works; wild flowers and fragrant grasses entirely display Mañjuśrī's house style. A person who has comprehended directly rides on sounds and straddles colors, transcending seeing and surpassing hearing, before joining with them. But tell me, what about the practice of Samantabhadra? Moving one's countenance makes known the ancient path, not falling into quietistic function."
