上堂云。廓爾虛通。洞然明白。靈光不暗。智照無私。干戈叢裡。太平基。是自家古來田地。搕𢶍推頭清淨土。即衲僧本分家風。還相委悉麼。陋巷不騎命色馬。回頭却著破襴衫。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "Vast and empty, clear and unobstructed. The numinous light is not dark; wisdom's illumination is impartial. Amid the thicket of weapons, the foundation of great peace is one's own ancient native land. Clearing out rubbish, the pure land is the patch-robed monk's fundamental family style. Do you understand? In a narrow lane, one does not ride a fine steed; turning around, one puts on a ragged gown."
