1.87

上堂云。道圓無缺。智應不虧。光通浩劫之初。影落諸緣之上。所以道。塵塵爾。剎剎爾。念念爾。法法爾。未甞有一絲毫缺少。諸人還會麼。箇中若了全無事。體用何妨分不分。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "The Way is round and without defect; wisdom responds and is never lacking. Light reaches to the beginning of the vast kalpas; shadows fall upon the myriad conditions. Therefore it is said: so it is in every dust particle, so it is in every land, so it is in every thought, so it is in every dharma. Never has there been the slightest lack. Do you understand? In this, if one completely understands, there is no matter at all; what harm is there in distinguishing or not distinguishing substance and function?"
