3.99

舉古德云。長者長法身。短者短法身。師云且道。舜若多神。喚什麼作法身。良久云。還會麼。不可續鳧截鶴。夷岳盈壑去也。

He cited an ancient worthy: “The long is the long Dharma body; the short is the short Dharma body.” / The Master said: “And tell me, what does the god Śūnyatā call the Dharma body?” After a long pause he said: “Do you understand? One must not lengthen the duck’s legs and cut the crane’s, or level the peaks to fill the ravines.”
