上堂唯只一真心。三緣坐斷誰昇沈。遂成十法界。六道輪迴自障礙。不見一法即如來。方得名為觀自在。見怪不怪。其怪自壞。靈從何來。聖亦何在。拄杖敲時竈墮摧。一片虛明絕中外。

Ascending the hall: Only this one true mind—the three conditions severed, who rises or falls? Then it becomes the ten Dharma realms; the six paths of transmigration are obstacles of one's own making. Not seeing a single phenomenon is the Tathāgata; only then is one named Contemplator of Self-Mastery. See the strange without taking it as strange, and the strange destroys itself. Whence comes the spiritual? Where does the sacred dwell? When the staff strikes, the fallen stove is destroyed; a expanse of open illumination severs inner and outer.
