上堂一念虛融。十方周極。萬有自平。纖塵不立。理智心冥兮到家。佛祖口閑兮挂壁。真境寥寥。靈機歷歷。氷鑑無瑕。玉壺無隙。風磨霽色兮一片寒青。水印蟾華兮十分明白。出沒之淵。窮通之𫭫。底處發生。箇時轉側。田地萌針兮暖回。園林華綺兮春入。無象無私。無處無彈指門開見彌勒。

[Hongzhi] ascended the hall: "A single thought is empty and fused; it extends to the very limits of the ten directions. The myriad existences are naturally equal; not a speck of dust is established. Principle and wisdom merge in mind—reaching home! The mouths of buddhas and ancestors are idle—hanging on the wall! The true realm is vast and lonely; the spiritual mechanism is distinctly clear. An ice mirror without blemish, a jade vase without a fissure. The wind polishes the cleared sky—a stretch of cold blue; the water imprints the toad's radiance—fully illuminated. The abyss of emergence and submergence, the crossing of exhaustion and penetration. From where do they arise? At that moment, it turns. In the field, shoots sprout like needles—the warmth returns; in the garden groves, flowers are magnificent—spring enters. Formless, impartial; nowhere is there a place where, with the snap of a finger, the gate does not open to see Maitreya."
