上堂不可得而有。不可得而無。寂寂十方坐斷。寥寥一境清虛。妍醜那能瞞淨鏡。青黃莫我染明珠。剎海不能關鎖月。夜來流影在珊瑚參。

[Hongzhi] ascended the hall: "It cannot be attained as existent; it cannot be attained as non-existent. Silently, the ten directions are cut off; vast and lonely, the single realm is pure and empty. How could beauty or ugliness deceive a clear mirror? Blue and yellow cannot stain my bright pearl. The ocean of lands cannot lock up the moon; overnight its flowing reflection rests on the coral. Take part!"
