冬至日上堂。陰陽爻象此為宗。殺活機頭看變通。玉女退身功後位。木人引步異中同。一塵不受能虛廓。萬像無遺却混融。借得因緣成現用。玲瓏八面盡家風。

Ascending the hall on the day of the Winter Solstice: / "The trigram lines of yin and yang take this as their source; / At the crucial pivot of killing and giving life, observe the transformations. / The jade maiden steps back into the position after function; / The wooden figure steps forward into identity within difference. / Not receiving a single speck of dust, it can be empty and vast; / Leaving out none of the myriad phenomena, it blends and merges. / Borrowing conditions, it brings about actualized function; / Exquisite on all eight sides, it is wholly the family style."
