上堂。今朝臘月二十五。衲僧一曲和雲門。誰將節奏亂孔竅。不到瘢痕傷斧斤。舌無骨眼有筋。方見韶陽老子能。拍拍元來渾是令。哩鳴囉了邏鳴稜。

Ascending the hall: Today is the twenty-fifth of the twelfth month; patch-robed monks harmonize with a tune of Yunmen. Who would let tempo and rhythm confuse the apertures? Not leaving a scar to harm the axe. The tongue has no bone, but the eye has sinew—only then do you see the ability of the old fellow of Shaoyang.
