Instructing the assembly, he cited: While Baofu and Changqing were wandering in the mountains, Baofu pointed to the ground before them and said, "Right here is the solitary peak of the Wondrous Summit." Qing said, "It is indeed so, but what a pity!" Xuedou added a comment, saying, "Wandering the mountains with this fellow today, what was he looking for?" Later it was cited to Jingqing. Qing said, "Had it not been for Master Sun, one would have seen skulls strewn across the fields." The Master said: "Transforming the great earth into yellow gold; churning the long river into clarified butter. Baofu wanted it to be like this. When there is no wind, why kick up waves? On level ground, how could one be willing to raise mounds? Changqing wanted it to be like this. Xuedou's intent was to engrave an inscription on bells and caldrons; Jingqing said that great peace has no form. But how will you thoroughly comprehend it? The old peasant knows nothing of the power of Yao and Shun; 'dong-dong' he beats the drum to sacrifice to the river god."
