天寧節上堂。氷壺清白。借功喚作誕生。玉璽傳家。退位名為王父。萬萬年之壽量。靜亨而尊。千千界之因緣。動成其子。還知箇人受用處麼。良久云。仰之彌高鑽彌堅。迎之在前隨在後。

Ascending the hall on Tianning Festival: "The jade vessel is pure and white; borrowing function, it is called birth. The jade seal transmits the family; retiring from position, one is named the Royal Father. A lifespan of myriad upon myriad years: serene, prosperous, and venerable. Causes and conditions of thousands upon thousands of worlds: in movement becoming its sons. Do you know where such a person enjoys it?" After a long pause, he said, "Looking up to it, it is loftier still; boring into it, it is harder still. Behold it in front; suddenly it is behind."
