舉書記藏主立僧。上堂。一燈分耀百千燈。箇事宗家誰也曾。少室相傳斷臂可。黃梅分付墜腰能。作麼生是相傳。列焰底事。還相委悉麼。田地光明真破夜。叢林氣象自成春。

Citing the scribes and canon wardens standing as monks, he ascended the hall: "One lamp divides its radiance into hundreds of thousands of lamps; who in the ancestral lineage has ever done this affair? Shaolin transmitted it, Ke cutting off his arm; Huangmei entrusted it, Neng weighing down his waist. What is the affair of transmitting and arranging the flames? Do you understand? The brightness of the ground truly breaks the night; the atmosphere of the monastic grove naturally becomes spring."
