上堂。說禪說道。虛空釘橛。體妙體玄。矢上加尖。若也三際斷四大空。上無攀仰。下絕己躳。內無繫蟻之絲。外無聚蠅之糝。淨裸裸赤洒洒。正恁麼時。是箇什麼。

Ascending the hall: "Speaking of Chan and speaking of the Way is driving a stake into empty space. Embodying the subtle and embodying the profound is adding a point to an arrow. If the three periods of time are cut off and the four great elements are empty, above there is nothing to gaze up to, below one's own body is severed; within there is no silk thread to tie an ant, outside there are no grains of rice to gather flies. Stark naked and utterly clear—right at such a time, what is it?"
