舉雪峯問僧甚處去。僧云。普請去。雪峯云去。雲門云。雪峯因語識人。師云。莫動著。動著三十棒。為什麼如此。皓玉無瑕。彫文喪德。

He cited: Xuefeng asked a monk: “Where are you going?” The monk said: “I am going to the communal work.” Xuefeng said: “Go.” Yunmen said: “Xuefeng recognized the man through his words.” / The Master said: “Do not stir it. If you stir it, thirty blows! Why so? Flawless white jade; carving patterns on it ruins its virtue.”
