如珪如璧。雕文喪德。如雲如石。堅潤是式。蒼竹無心歲寒色。
老松有傲霜雪力。照破諸緣兮。
兩眼如漆。

Like jade gui and jade bi—carving patterns ruins their virtue;
Like clouds and stone—solidity and moisture are their model.
Green bamboo has no mind, bearing the cold of the year;
The old pine has the strength to defy frost and snow.
Illuminating and piercing through all conditions,
Both eyes are black as lacquer.
