器宇廓落。形像乾枯。一點徹靈府。萬年空劫壺。
青原門下識麟角。黃檗床頭捋虎鬚。死中還活兮。
活中還死。無中却有兮。有中却無。

Vast and open in vessel and spirit, / Withered and dried in form and figure. / A single point penetrates the luminous chamber; / Ten thousand years inside the pot of the kalpa of emptiness. / Beneath the gate of Qingyuan, recognizing the unicorn's horn; / Beside the bench of Huangbo, plucking the tiger's whiskers. / Returning to life from within death; / Returning to death from within life. / Yet having within nothingness; / Yet having nothing within being.
