寒淡相依。清白住持。秋橫兩目。雪覆雙眉。老兔推月河漢闊。
賓雁沒煙星斗垂。窮通有自。
機用輸誰。消得而今一瞬。不須別喚沙彌。

Cold and plain, relying on each other;
Purity and clarity maintain the temple.
Autumn crosses both eyes;
Snow covers both eyebrows.
The old hare pushes the moon across the broad Heavenly River;
The visiting wild geese vanish into mist, the stars and Dipper hang low.
Hardship and success have their cause;
To whom could functional capacity yield?
It is worth this single instant now—
No need to call another novice.
