松老皮皴。竹癯節稜。髮白遠山雪。心明長夜燈。
回機歷歷。隨用騰騰。因緣妙觸初無礙。箇是玲瓏岩下僧。

The pine is aged, its bark cracked; / the bamboo is lean, its joints angular. / Hair white as distant mountain snow; / mind bright as a lamp in the long night. / The turning of the mechanism is lucid; / following function, it surges along. / Marvelous contact with conditions is entirely unobstructed from the start; / this is the clear-cut monk beneath the cliff.
