6.21

The place from which a grandchild is born is called the ancestor; the place from which a stream emerges is called the source. Thoroughly seeing its source and recognizing its ancestor, one then knows that before cyclic wandering, steadfastly towering, it did not follow arising, ceasing, and conditioned causes. Although you do not follow them, you fully possess all shadow-affairs. When summoned forward, distinctly sense-faculties and sense-dusts drop away, understanding and views are transcended, and one is not enclosed by anything. Emotions emptied and thoughts severed, naturally complete, bright, and clearly knowing, drifting within the myriad phenomena, nothing can confound it; within the dusts, expansively more than enough. The hundreds of thousands of samādhis, every gate adorned, every phenomenon complete. You must further gather them and return, arrive at the former place, restore the source and venerate the ancestor, merging into one; only then will you see the entire body go forth.
