元正上堂。元正啟祚。鼻孔發露。萬物咸新。笑面迎春。必竟如何。淨慈門下轉風流。飯滿鉢盂茶滿甌。

Ascending the hall on New Year's Day, [the Master said]: "The prime month begins auspicious blessings; the nostrils are laid bare. The myriad things are entirely renewed; smiling faces greet the spring. Ultimately, what about it? Under Jingci's gate, style and refinement turn ever more; / Rice fills the bowl, tea fills the cup."
