上堂（時有講人相訪）。春雨洗春雪。雪消湖上山。雨晴相對看。突兀髑髏寒。且道。是祖意是教意。咦。贏得風光遶畫欄。

Ascending the hall (on the occasion of a lecturer paying a visit), [the Master said]: "Spring rain washes the spring snow; / The snow melts on the mountains above the lake. / Rain cleared, facing each other to gaze: / Towering, the skull is cold. / But tell me, is this the ancestral intention or the doctrinal intention? / Bah! / Winning the scenery to circle the painted balustrade."
