上堂。以拂子打圓相云。上大人丘乙己。西湖南山圖畫裡。還知麼。孔門弟子無人識。空有三千七十士。且道。如何。忽然一陣秋風吹。吹作秋雲送流水。

Ascending the hall, he struck a circle with his whisk and said: / "'Above is the great person, Qiu, Yi, and Ji'— / In the painted landscape of West Lake and South Mountain. / Do you understand yet? / Among the disciples of Confucius's school, no one recognized it; / In vain were there three thousand disciples and seventy sages. / And tell me, how is it? / Suddenly a blast of autumn wind blows, / Blowing them into autumn clouds escorting the flowing water."
