謝典座上堂。坐斷老盧頂𩕳。拈起無柄木𣏐。忽然舀出銅汁鐵丸。忽然舀出醍醐酥酪。佛祖大機難測度。猶是家常茶飯。且道。塞斷咽喉一句。又作麼生。爛煮虛空無麫餺飥。

Ascending the hall to thank the tenzo, [the Master said]: "Sitting atop Old Lu's crown, / Picking up the handleless wooden ladle, / Suddenly ladling out molten copper and iron pellets, / Suddenly ladling out ghee and butter. / The great capacity of the Buddhas and Patriarchs is hard to fathom, / Yet it is still everyday tea and rice. / But tell me, what about the phrase that chokes off the throat? / Thoroughly boiling empty space: flourless broth noodles."
