6.46

舉。仰山夢往彌勒所。居第二座（且道第一座是誰）尊者白云。今日當第二座說法（低聲來說是非者）山乃起白椎云（諦觀法王法法王法如是）摩訶衍法（此義文長）離四句絕百非。謹白（言清行濁）。

Case: Yangshan dreamed he went to Maitreya's place and occupied the second seat. (Tell me, who was in the first seat?) A venerable one announced: "Today the second seat should preach the Dharma." (One who comes speaking in a low voice of right and wrong.) Yangshan then arose, struck the gavel, and said (Observe clearly the Dharma of the Dharma King; the Dharma of the Dharma King is like this): "The Mahāyāna Dharma (this meaning is lengthy) is apart from the four propositions and cuts off the hundred negations. Respectfully stated!" (His words are pure, his conduct muddy.)
