問。離識有色。文義俱虛。心外無塵。教理同證。其奈名言熏習。世見堅牢。若不微細剖陳。難圓正信。只如外色。若麁若細。云何推檢。知其本空。了了分明。成就唯識。

Question: That form exists apart from consciousness is baseless in both text and principle; that there are no dust-objects outside the mind is jointly proven by teaching and reasoning. Yet how can one overcome the habituation of verbal designations and the solidity of worldly views? If this is not analyzed in subtle detail, it is difficult to complete right faith. Take external form, whether coarse or fine: how do we examine it to know that it is fundamentally empty, clearly and distinctly establishing vijñaptimātra?
