1.77

真淨曰。末法比丘鮮有節義。每見其高談闊論。自謂人莫能及逮乎。一飯之惠。則始異而終輔之。先毀而後譽之。求其是曰是非曰非。中正而不隱者少矣（壁記）。

Zhenjing said: "Bhikṣus of the final age rarely have moral integrity and righteousness. Whenever I see them engage in elevated talk and expansive discussions, they consider themselves unsurpassed by anyone. But when it comes to the favor of a single meal, they differ at the beginning but end up assisting [the giver]; first they slander him and afterward they praise him. Those who seek what is right and call it right, seek what is wrong and call it wrong, remaining impartial and upright without concealment, are truly rare." (Bi ji)
