4.22

拙菴謂虞尹文丞相曰。大道洞然本無愚智。譬如伊呂起於耕漁為帝王師。詎可以智愚階級而能擬哉。雖然非大丈夫。其孰能與焉（廣錄）。

Zhuo'an said to Chancellor Yu Yinwen: "The Great Way is completely open, fundamentally devoid of foolishness and wisdom. For example, Yi Yin and Lü Shang arose from plowing and fishing to become teachers of emperors and kings; how could one gauge them by the ranks of wisdom and foolishness? Even so, if one is not a great man, who can take part in it?" (Extended Record)
