8.51

三冬洗處寒侵骨。九夏蒸時汗滿身。費水費油兼費火。
勞人勞畜亦勞神。

In the depths of winter, where it is washed, the cold bites to the bone;
In the height of summer, when it is steamed, sweat covers the body.
It wastes water, wastes oil, and wastes firewood as well;
It toils people, toils beasts, and toils the spirit too.
