用欽。居錢唐七寶院。依大智學律。聞其示眾曰。生弘毘尼死歸安養。出家為道能事斯畢。即標心淨土一志不退。日課佛至三萬。嘗神遊淨土。見佛大士種種異相。謂侍者曰。吾明日西行矣。即集眾念佛。黎明合掌西望。加趺而化。

Yongqin resided at the Qibao Cloister in Qiantang. He relied on Dazhi to study the Vinaya. Hearing him instruct the assembly: "In life propagate the vinaya, in death return to the Land of Peace and Nurture; for one who leaves home for the Way, this completely fulfills one's task," he immediately directed his mind to the Pure Land with single-minded determination without retrogressing. His daily quota was up to thirty thousand recitations of the Buddha's name. Once he spiritually journeyed to the Pure Land and saw various extraordinary signs of the Buddha and the Great Beings. He said to his attendant: "Tomorrow I will journey west." He then assembled the monks to recollect the Buddha. At dawn, joining his palms and looking west, he sat cross-legged and passed away.
