惟渥。錢唐人。杜門謝事閱大藏三過。華嚴法華諸經計之總二萬卷。晚年誦彌陀經二十藏。一夕偶疾。西向端坐。作印而化。

Weiwò was a native of Qiantang. Closing his doors and declining worldly affairs, he read through the Tripiṭaka three times; counting the Avataṃsaka, Lotus, and other sūtras, they totaled twenty thousand fascicles. In his later years, he recited the Amitābha Sūtra twenty times the count of the Tripiṭaka. One evening, falling ill, he sat upright facing west, formed a mudrā, and passed away.
