27.124

思梵。居西山。星者謂之曰。六月望師其終乎。師曰。造物焉能制修道之人。汝言六月亡。我且八月往。至期沐浴。坐龕中。集眾端坐而化。

Sifan resided on the Western Mountain. An astrologer said to him: "On the full moon of the sixth month, will the Master not pass away?" The Master said: "How can the Creator govern a person cultivating the Way? You say I will die in the sixth month, but I will go in the eighth month." When the time arrived, he bathed, sat in a niche, gathered the assembly, sat upright, and passed away.
