戒度。習律受業棲心。晚住餘姚極樂。病中作遺書別士夫道舊。命眾誦觀經。至法身觀。厲聲念佛加趺而化。

Jiedu studied the Vinaya and was ordained at Qixin. In his late years, he resided at Jile in Yuyao. In the midst of illness, he wrote a farewell testament to scholar-officials to recount old times. He ordered the assembly to recite the Contemplation Sūtra; when they reached the contemplation of the Dharma Body, he loudly chanted the Buddha's name, sat cross-legged, and passed away.
