27.86

處謙繼神照住白蓮。一夕會弟子設香華諷普賢觀經阿彌陀經。端坐稱讚淨土功德。復告眾曰。吾得無生。日用有年矣。今以無生而生淨土。如入禪定奄然而化。

Chuqian succeeded Shenzhao in residing at Bailian. One evening, he gathered his disciples, set out incense and flowers, and chanted the *Samantabhadra Contemplation Sūtra* and the *Amitābha Sūtra*. Sitting upright, he praised the merits of the Pure Land. He then told the assembly, "I have attained non-arising and have lived it daily for many years. Now, by means of non-arising, I am born in the Pure Land." As if entering dhyāna, he passed away peacefully.
