28.101

錢唐孫氏女。常念佛持呪。因病請清照律師至。謂曰。久病厭世願求往生。師為談淨土因緣大喜。至夜夢師持藥一盞。服之流汗。身心輕安。三日後語侍人曰。迦葉尊者來此。好金蓮華座。即瞑目結印而化。

The daughter of the Sun family in Qiantang constantly recited the Buddha's name and held dhāraṇīs. Due to illness, she invited Vinaya Master Qingzhao to come, saying to him, 'Having long been ill, I loathe the world and wish to seek rebirth.' The Master explained the causes and conditions of the Pure Land for her, and she was overjoyed. That night, she dreamt that the Master brought a cup of medicine; having taken it, she broke into a sweat, and her body and mind became light and peaceful. Three days later, she said to her attendant, 'Venerable Kāśyapa has come here with a wonderful golden lotus throne.' Then, closing her eyes and forming a mudrā, she passed away.
