二十二年。初范曄（音葉）負才不得志。與孔熙先謀廢立。事敗死獄中。祇洹寺沙門曇遷。素與曄友。賣衣盂為營葬具　魏世祖聞而歎賞。謂徐爰曰。卿著宋書無遺此事。

In the twenty-second year: Earlier, Fan Ye (pronounced ye) relied on his talent and was dissatisfied with his position; he plotted a coup with Kong Xixian. The matter failed, and he died in prison. Śramaṇa Tancheng of Zhihuan Temple had long been a friend of Ye; he sold his robes and bowl to provide for his funeral furnishings. When Emperor Shizu of Wei heard of this, he praised it with admiration and said to Xu Yuan: 'When you compile the Book of Song, do not leave this matter out.'
