八月乙卯。以高宗舊第興聖寺有柹樹天授中枯死至是忽重榮。因大赦天下。賜百官封爵。普度僧尼道士凡數萬。

In the eighth month, on the day yimao, because a persimmon tree at Xingsheng Monastery—the former residence of Emperor Gaozong—which had withered and died during the Tianshou era, suddenly flourished again at this time, a general amnesty was declared throughout the empire. The hundred officials were granted enfeoffments and titles, and monks, nuns, and Daoist priests totaling several tens of thousands were granted ordination across the empire.
