劉福通　頴州人。是年五月。以紅巾為號。陷頴州。六月據朱皐。攻破羅山真陽確山。遂陷舞陽葉縣等處。九月陷汝寧州。眾至十萬。

Liu Futong was a man of Yingzhou. In the fifth month of this year, taking the Red Turbans as his insignia, he captured Yingzhou. In the sixth month, he occupied Zhugao and attacked and took Luoshan, Zhenyang, and Queshan, subsequently capturing Wuyang, Ye County, and other places. In the ninth month, he captured Runing Prefecture; his followers reached one hundred thousand.
