Liang Yin, styled Mengjing, was a native of Linjiang. His family was poor, but he studied diligently, and many famous scholars of the day associated with him. When the Emperor summoned eminent Confucians throughout the empire to revise and compile rites and music, Yin participated, but resigned due to old age and illness. He built a lodge at Shimen Mountain and was called 'Liang of the Five Classics'. He died at the age of eighty-two.
