我於此不久　當下閻浮提
迦毘羅施兜　白淨王宮生
辭父母親屬　捨轉輪王位
出家行學道　成一切種智
建立正法幢　能竭煩惱海
閉塞惡趣門　永開八正路
廣利諸天人　其數不可量
以是因緣故　不應生憂惱

"Before long, from here / I shall descend to Jambudvīpa, / and in Kapilavastu, / be born in the palace of King Śuddhodana. / Bidding farewell to parents and relatives, / forsaking the rank of wheel-turning king, / I shall leave home to practice and train in the Path, / and attain sarvākārajñatā. / Erecting the banner of the true Dharma, / I can dry up the ocean of afflictions, / shut the gates to the evil destinies, / and forever open the eightfold noble path. / I shall broadly benefit devas and humans / in numbers that cannot be measured. / For this reason, / you should not give rise to distress."
