12.13

路口時行路一人，見富如此，因問其故，富雖復頓悶，口猶能言，迺具答以事。此人悲悼傷心，還家取針，縫其腹皮，塗以驗藥。輿還寺將息，少時而差。後不知所終。

At that time a traveler passing through the crossroads saw Sengfu in this state and asked him the reason. Although Sengfu was faint and exhausted, he could still speak, so he recounted the incident in detail. Heartbroken with grief, the traveler returned home to get a needle, sutured the skin of Sengfu's abdomen, and applied effective medicine. He carried Sengfu back to the temple to rest, and in a short while he recovered. It is not known how he ended his life later.
